Need Help... Please!!!!

I just ran my camaro on the street for the first time since I put a rebuilt 350 in it. It has Vortec heads that have 2 PCV valves (one on each valve cover). The oil pump is a stock replacement, and my oil pressure isn't high (never over 65 psi, and I haven't had it over 4000 rpm's yet). I got on it going up a steep will today, and it puked oil all over the passenger side of the hood. It didn't seem to get on the engine too much, though, just on the hood and inner fender. It was about 3 or 4 quarts, and I limped back home on what was left. I don't think it came out of the PCV valve, dipstick or oil fill hole, as these were closed up and weren't disturbed or covered with oil. Does anybody know where else it could have come from? It hasn't leaked since I put it in. Thanks, all....

Mods include a 4bolt 350 with 280*, .460 lift cam, Vortec heads, Comp Cams roller tip rockers, Edelbrock TES headers, no other exhaust . Also, rusted parts on all 4 corners, and crumpled fenders, thanks to the previous owner.

This has nothing to do with oil pressure... don't even worry about that.

This sounds like a typical mystery oil leak immediately after an engine install. Did you leave your smog pump off? If so, are there any bolts in the 2 holes on the front of the block, down low, where the smog pump brackets were? If not, then the upper of those 2 bolts is a direct passage into the fuel pump drive rod's passage.

Put a bolt in that hole, it needs to be a real short one like ¾" or so, with some sealer on it.

Sorry about the post. After I wrote it, I went back outside, and noticed a mostly empty quart of oil next to the radiator. When I went up the hill, it must have tipped back and poured oil on the fan, spraying it all over the engine compartment. Thanks for the reply, though. I use a longer bolt in the hole to the fuel pump pushrod, and put a nut under it to keep it from binding the rod. That way, when I take the pump off, I can take the nut off, and the bolt will keep the pushrod in place.
