cam ID ques....
I bought a used zz4 cam and was wondering if there was a way just to check and make sure it is what I think it is.

Find a speed shop or engine builder that has a "Cam Doctor". He will put the cam on the
measuring stand and rotated it and measure the intake and exhaust lobe, then the computer printer will spit out a cam card.
Beauti EH!!! Numbers are 208/221 @ .050"
.474"/.510" lift 112L/C. If you can't do this just get a good dial caliper guage and carfully measure the height- width of the lobe and multiply by 1.5 this is the valve lift.

Do you have a caliper? Dial indicator and 'V' blocks? Graph paper and pencil? Protractor?
You can "spec" that cam in twenty minutes if you have some basic shop tools.

Thanks guys, as it turned out, it was a 305 cam. Luckily, the guy is going to give me my money back on it. Next time, I will have to watch myself. Still searching for the da*n thing.
