Pickup Coil Install
I bought a new pickup coil and there is some white tape going around the actual wires. I thought this was just to protect the part but when I took the old one out it still had the tape on it. My question is: Do I remove the tape before installing the pickup coil or do I leave it?? Also where do the wires connect to, as they seem to be loose.

Leave the tape in place. We just did one on our 350TBi work truck. The wires attach to the Ignition Module that mounts to the distributor deck. The wires should have a connector connected to them.------------------

Leave the tape on it. It just provides further insulation for the coil, even though it's probably shellaced. The wires from the pickup coil terminate in a connector that connects to the ignition module. Hope this helps.
