Would This Work?
I was thinking of ram air option for carbureted guys but there aren’t really to many other than buying some sort of carb bonnet and using remote filter element. I had this idea about taking Hawks TPI Ram Air Boxes and not using a filter but making a scoop similar to the shape of the TPI air filter lids to deflect the air towards the top of the motor and at the carburetor filter. Would this work? Would I see any performance gains maybe even a cooling effect? Has anyone tried something similar to this?

I've seen it on a '57 Chevy, and it worked well for him.
It should work for you.
