I have a 84 firebird LG4 with a 700r4.
I just bought a 350 HO deluxe. I recently learned how to drive a stick and i'm wondering should i buy a t-5 and make it fit in the car or should i just try to buy a car with a shifter installed??

t-5s are a dime a dozen at the JY.

Also has anyone ever seen a f-body with an engine in the rear?

 

what's a 350 HO delux? i think you ught to leave your car alone. i'm sure someone somewhere has seen a rear engined f body, even if they got confused and looked at the wrong end.

 

Maybe they mistaked a Fiero for a Firebird. You might think about getting the trans you want then the parts needed to hold it up from a junk yard. Thats about the cheapest move I can think of.
