Weight loss.

I had my cat weight at the local scale. It featured a hydrolic scale with the digital display.

It showed 1660 KG with 2 me and a passanger.
(130 kg together)

1660-130=1530 KG.

This translates to roughly 3060 LBS.

Is this possible. I thought these car wiegh around 3500 lbs.

What do you guys think?

Stock it isn't possible, however if the previous owner did some things it could be lighter, but highly doubtful. That aluminum driveshaft should save you some weight, but I would think the passenger would have made up for that. Sorry I'm not too much help.

well you don't have iron manifolds and DS like most people. The Flowmaster is hollow... little things add up. t-5 is 100 lbs lighter than an auto...

I think you have your conversion wrong. 1530kg x 2.2046lb/kg = 3373 pounds.

Are you sure you each only weigh 65 kg? Or, are you a couple of skinny highschool kids?

That's one heavy 180+lb tranny you have. Are autos really that heavy? Tas has got to be kidding saving 100lbs with a T5. I know they're light, something like 74lbs dry I've heard. Sure didn't feel very light changing my clutch on jack stands. I don't really know anything about autos and I hope(know) I will never have a reason to other than curiousity.

AL driveshafts only save ~5lbs, I didn't notice any differnce in performance except that my car didn't shake at 80+ mph anymore thank *** .

My conversion is wrong.

1530 kg x 2.2 = 3366 lbs. Now that is more like it.

I am not skinny, well i used to be. 185lbs for me and 120 for my girl.

Thanks for the replies guys.
