I rarely drive my car up at college so it usually sits for at least 4 days, and is hard to start. I have a 900 CCA new battery and a fairly new 100 amp alternator. I just replaced the belt on it and it is tight. How come when this hard start occurs my alternator squeels?

Definately the alternator, the voltage guage reads below 13 when it squeels and turning on the lights or heat at first when there is hard cold start really drops the voltage. And I can't turn the heat or lights on until the voltage gauge reads above 13. It's like I can hear the alternator once it starts charging thru the speakers.
