need quick easy favor fast

can some one tell me what aire goes to was pin on the maf connector for a 1987 camaro 305 TPI.....it has been replaced and i don't know it is correct seening that on the TPI sensor the blue wire was hooked to the black(or gray forgett) and Visa virsa(seppling).....i am getting a code 36 and the i tryed replacing the relays but to no sucess. Also was EXCATLY does the code 36 mean for a 87 TPI car, i don't want to get the standard replay of the multple things it could be, like
MAF burn-off, ESC, auto shift thing. I want to know which one applies to MY car my 1987 305 TPI 5-speed G92 Black on Black Alpine stereo with Alpine amp and Infinity speakers and Falken tires(are they good, they came with the car)
get my point?! Thanks

I can't say that I really understand your question. As for a code 36 the only info that I can find on it is that it relates to MPFI and TPI cars. Code 36 relates to the MAF "burn off circuit" It can be tripped if there is too much resistance at the relay contacts or if something is grounding correctly. Check your terminals for any corrosion. Use something to help conduct the signal through the connections, check to see that you have all of your connections in all the way.

I guess that I'll just give you a bunch of info about the MAF sensor wiring and let you work something out, cause your kind of vague. There should be five wires coming from the MAF. There is a red one that comes from the MAF power relay, the one on the farthest right of your firewall, a dk blue which goes to the burn off relay (and I wouldn't think connects through black), and then a dk green, a black, and then a black/white (ground). Off of the sensor though you will probably only see the last three wires coming from there... maybe even only two.

Your question is really vague and hard to read, if it were a little clearer I may be able to help more...

Mike

Whats "aire" and "seppling"?

The code 36 can be looked up on the main page.

All of the reasons for a code 36 could apply to your car, what exactly is wrong with it? Running bad? Not started? Please give more info so we can help.

Balck and black with white stripe are both grounds, then the green is in the middle, this run to the computer. Then you have your burnoff and +12 on the other side.

This only applies to 86+ hot wire mafs.

ok, this is the only ****ing problem left, the two places that my car has gone both have said that there is a problem with the MAF, also i found that the TPS, the blue wire was connected to the gray and the gray was conneced to the blue. ok, this leads me to belive that the MAF harness that was added is put on wrong because the MAF is the only problem left after replacing the relays....the ne harness/connector that was put on by the former owner does not have colored wires they are all white. PLEASE i know someone read this who has a 87 MF TPI but is to damn lazy to help me out...maybe everyone should wait a few days and not get a reply to the last problem with their car. The only reason i am still at this board is because there are over 1000 members. I also thing all IROC owners should become a member of IROC-Z.org. There are even non-tech boards there, all it needs is more members. in fact everyone should become a member there.

SOMEONE ****ING REPLY WITH A ****ING ANSWER.

Wiring diagrams are on www.diy-efi.org if that's not too much work for you.
