Need help! Car died...
92 z28 5.0 TPI motor 123k. Ran to local liq store fine. But when I tried to start it - it fell on its face. After fooling with it this is exactly whats happening. Turn key starts as usual. RMP's run up to 1500 then slowly comes down, but stalls. I can continue to pump the gas peddle and it will run at a very low low idle. I wouldn't even consider it running. Just got a new fuel filter 5 months ago. Could it be a fuel pump? Or the ECU? Any help be great. I need to get it towed now!

Welcome Aboard!
What exactly did you get at the liquor store? Did you "treat" your car to any of it?
Let's see:
After visiting the liquor store, it "fell on its face", ran at some "RMPs", and "will run at a very low low idle. I wouldn't even consider it running." Well, it's either running or it isn't. Further, it needs a ride home.
Definitely sounds inebriated to me. Wait until it sobers up and test fuel pressure.

lol.........
That was funny as hell. Thanks I needed that. I'm pretty sure it's the fuel pump. Haven't worked on many GM's. My previous ride was a Conquest Tsi Turbo. Had it in the 13's. Again, thanks for the laugh, and I will post if it's not the prob.

I wouldn't go jumping into a fuel pump swap just yet. The Conquest (and most Mitsubishis) fuel pump is an easy swap, through the access panel under the right rear seat. The ThirdGen fuel pump replacement is going to require exhaust system removal, rear axle removal, and dropping the fuel tank.
Make sure the pressure is correct. If the pressure is between 39-44 PSIG with no vacuum on the pressure regulator, the pump is O.K. If not, check the pressure regulator by pinching off the fuel return line to see if pressure increases. If that doesn't solve it, replace the fuel filter first, then test again.
If pressure is still low, confirm correct fuel level in the tank. Then test the voltage to the pump as close to the pump as possible. Low voltage will cause low pressure, and a new pump won't solve that.
Finally, before replacing the pump, add a pint of 2-cycle oil to the fuel, allow it to mix, and see if the pump pressure improves. If so, the checks in the pump may be failing, and the oil may help "heal" them or temporarily solve the problem.
