I don't know if you think this will help, but it should.
I'm pretty sure (from what I remember) the crossmembers on our cars are flat on top, where the tranny sits.
So whatever crossmember you're fabbing up, just make it flat on the top, add in the height of a stock trans mount and you're set.

I imagine thats the reason why not too many other people are replying too.

Yes. It's because you have a beer gut and we don't, so we don't want to make you feel bad.
I changed mine a couple of times (damn shift kits), so you'd think I remember. Unfortunetly my memory is as short as my.... anyway.
The tranny board might have some info??

88tat.... if you could measure from the tunnel to the tailshaft.. and even the tunnel to the trans yoke... straight up .. that would be great.. im just fabbing a crossmember for a t56 and since the mount is dif height and location then t-5 or 700r4 its hard to get an accurate idea of where it needs to be.. but since the output shaft and yoke are the same position .. if i had the measurment there i could get it correct then start welding.. thanks in advance for measuring for me...
