Just got into accident, please help
The car run over a 1' curb and looks like its totalled. Not much body damage at all, but the front end looks severely damaged. the wheel on the right side is tilted to the right. The car will not crank when i try to start it now, i'm thinking its the fuel cut off switch or other safety device. Does anyone know if our cars come equipped with anything like that in case of an accident? and how to go around it? thanks a lot
p.s. I am now looking to buy a 3rd gen with a 350 and a manual transmission for $4,000 or below, so if anyone knows a good deal please let me know, (i'm also looking in the classifieds) thanks a lot.

The wheel problem is most likely a bent lower control arm. But I was unaware of 3rd gens have a fuel cut off like that. Not saying there isn't one just didn't think they did. Did you flatten the fuel lines, exhaust or oil pan? If you can get it to run it will bring more money.

Let me say.... OUCH!
With a destroyed front-end, and obvious alignment damage, I think you're lookin at good money at a body shop to get it repaired...
It's probably a good idea to find yourself a new Camaro, and part out your old one, because you have some good equipment there in your sig...

Ok, i looked at it more closely today. The suspension seems to be pretty severly damaged, the a-arm is almost touching my headers, the steering gear box has a leak in it, the transmission is out of place, and the motor just won't turn over. I am definitely keeping all the parts that i've put into this car and will use them on my next one. The motor was approaching 140k anyways, so i guess i'm not loosing too much because the only thing that makes my car worth anything is all the parts and work that i've put into it. Thanks for your help and wish me luck in finding a new one.

BTW if you want to sell your dashboard pad and its in good shape, send me an email.
