Anyone here know a good place to get the RHS heads formerly known as Pro Topline. I was also looking for pricing.

Yeah i finally got some responses from distributors thanks. Engine Quest has e-mailed and said they are getting the newer design heads in a couple weeks and to wait for flow numbers soon.

Yeah the RHS are a little more. Seems like you can get the leftover stock pro topline heads for a steal now. They are popping up all over ebay.

Comp Cams bought Pro Topline out. Im guessing there is lots of left over stock and everyone probably wants to make room for the new RHS design which supposedly flows better.

I think my brain has figured it out... maybe another cup or 2 of coffee would help

Then Pro Topline ran out of money from selling their stuff so cheap and trying to "perfect" too many castings so Comp bought them back.

Comp Cams didn't "used to be" RHS. They also didn't "rename" Pro Topline RHS.
Comp and RHS are closely related though. Their principal founders were 2 of the Smeltniks brothers. Each of the brothers owned some portion of each company; one owned more of RHS, and the other more of Comp. As time went on, friction developed between the 2 of them as often happens in such circumstances, and various changes in their ownership structure came and went. RHS in particular has been through alot of changes over the years.
The last time I can recall being in Comp's parking lot, RHS's last store was on the opposite side of the lot. RHS used to have 2 retail stores in Memphis, as well as the W/D business, and their machine shop business. AFAIK the W/D is long since defunct, and the machine shop had shrunk down to where it fit in that last store. I haven't been over there in years though so I don't know how they are now.
I haven't had anything directly to do as far as business dealings with either company for about 15 years, so I can't say what their current status is. But, it would be my guess that Ivars has obtained majority control of the RHS name and whatever real assets may remain of it from Russ, and when Comp bought Pro Topline's few remaining assets, assigned them to that trademark.
Some of you may know of Russ Smeltniks more recently, from NMCA. His personality and behavior in that group is pretty much the same as he has always been; both personally, and how he ran RHS. Which might explain to you why RHS has had a tough way to go.
