I ve noted that certain engines are the same
Example: a 74 350 2bbl code LG5 is rated at 145HP@3800 AND 250lbs@2200
and a 74 350 2bbl is rated at 160HP@3800rpm and 250lbs@2400 both with 8:5:1
what makes the differences
i cant figure it out ???

 

Are you sure they have the same engine code, maybe different codes got different cams.

no ...they have different codes
EXAMPLE :
LM1 4BBL 160HP@3800 250LBS@2400
L48 4BBL 185HP@4000 270LBS@2600

BUT WHAT DIFFER ? THEY ARE 350s AND 4BBL
BOTH ...CAMS CHANGE ?

 

I know thirdgen's of different years that have different HP the main reason because the LG4's got peanut cams and others got better one's. But it could be other things for those 350's.

cam, heads, exhaust, intake, timing, jetting, any number of things can change preformance and HP figures
