With available aftermarket heads, there are no gains. Camel back heads are what was considered a performance factory head back in the late 60's. At the time, these were the best performance head available. By today's standards, they are antique. You can buy a Dart head that's better right out of the box than what the old camel heads ever were. Finding an untouched camel head, then upgrading it to today's standards will cost more than a set of good aftermarket heads and you'll still have a 35 year old head.

The name camel came from the casting marks on the ends of the head. Some had one hump. Others had 2 humps. About the only people who have any use for these heads are if you're trying to build a numbers matching car or you race in a class that depands having the proper period components on the engine.

They're comparable to what the Vortecs are today. Good for a factory head but there are better.

Also, there is a good chance that the heads will not have the accessory holes tapped in them, (alternator, power steering etc). IIRC, some heads did, and others did not. I guess it all depends on the application.
