what grounds to the drivers side head?
anyone care to tell me which accessories are grounded via drivers side head in the rear ?
when i put my motor back together with new heads and cam i ddint bolt anything to the head cuz icould find the wires, but i know thier was something thier, im hoping thats my reason my car is flashing the check engine light and rpms dropping when i give it any gas under load.

IIRC, the ecms grounds go to that head, and probably the drivers side as well. Theres probably excessive noise causing issues with reading the memcal and such w/o those grounds.

I don't have my manual here at school with me but I remember doing a ton of wiring in my car when I swapped motors. One of the grounds was for the windshield wiper motors I believe. I'm also pretty sure that the spark control module grounds there as well. What code is the ECM throwing?

Fuel injector grounds too. There are 3 on the passenger side head and 1 big one totalling 4 and on the driver side I believe there is 2 grounds.

well i found the engine miss, the grund wire from my plugin ignition harness had come loose, but that does explain my wipers. everything else works fine including the enigne. dunno what else would ground to the DRIVERS side head.

I can check when I go back home this weekend, but that won't be for a few days yet. What code is the engine flashing?

well it doesnt have any codes, it was flashing the light not long enough to store it. it was actually the iginition ground coming loose from my connector harness. not a real engine code.

Are you having any other issues that need to be worked out, or are you jst curious as to what grounds to the driver's side head?
I'm pretty positive the wiper motor grounds there. There are two ring terminals in the back on that head from the factory (on my '88 anyways). Now that I think about it more, I do believe the other one is for the injectors on that bank. A lot of the grounds are inter-twined though, so the injectors may be getting grounded somehwere else as well. I'm sure there are other things that connect to the ground wires that go to that head too. Like I said, they are all intertwined and are a mess. I cut a lot of them away when I pruned my harness down (nothing important, just emissions controls, etc.).
I know the wiper motor ground is by itself though. Its a pretty thick-guage wire too. That leaves the other ring terminal to ground whatever else. I'm pretty sure the injectors are one, but like I said, they may get grounded elsewhere. The electronic spark module actually had a longer ground wire on it I believe, maybe going to the passenger side head.
Like I said, I can go through my diagrams and maybe some of my wiring when I get back home.
