What will happen it is clicking real bad on the drivers side when the wheel is turn all the way and it clicks even when going straight. If breaks off at the hub can you still drive the truck? at least a little ways to get home. It is a jeep truck. 1990.

Let me ask you a question.
If you're in a forest standing next to a tree and it falls down, will it land on you?
Answer would be depends which way the tree fell.
Bets case you have a good break, and you can drive it forever, worst case is ut breaks, jams up in the spidle assembley, locks up that front tire from rolling, causes you to violently swerve to one side of the road, maybe into an oncoming car, over a cliff, into a telephone pole, etc...
So I ask you..which way will the tree fall?

My luck it fall in the direction of a very large rig, or cliff. But if it does not get jamed the shaft will stop spining? it wouldn't spin even though it is connected to the front axle? I will fix it but I have alot of other things to do, I brought a houes I got my daily driver my third gen.And Since I may have to pay a shop a couple hundred bucks, it may have to wait.

I replaced the u-joint on my brother-in-laws '79 4x4 (Chevy). The part was around 12 bucks, and took less than an hour, as i recall. Even if you tool it to a shp, it should be less than a $100.00 bill.
