Changing fuel filter

I am gonna change the filter in my iroc to be on the safe side. I know that there is pressure in the line. How do I release it, or is it even worth doing? Also, any little tips to make this job easier?

Pull the fuel pump fuse, then start the car. It will die after a few seconds then the pressure is gone. There is still fuel in the lines so expect alot of it to drain out when you loosen the filter. Easy 30 minute job.
