Check Engine light on after 800 Miles

Well this is the scoop hope you guys can help with out me replacing every sensor. 800 miles on my rebuilt motor. Everything was great. It did need a little timing adjustment but it was not bad. On the way to work Check engine light came on, but it ran fine. I had just replaced the heater core so I thought I must have unpluged something. I checked and I could not find anything. I went to start it after work and it did not want to start I had to put the gas to the floor to get it to start, then it did not want to run. It acted like it was flooded. It will not stay running when cold. I drove it home and it cleaned up a bit but I could tell there was still issues. I tried to tap in to my trouble codes and I can not get them to show up, flash of even wink at me. Does any body have an idea what is going on or what sensor is doing this. Thanks again guys. this wont be the first time you have bailed me out. oh yeah 1984 305 CC

P.s. any one else have snow today?

Its more likely an ecm problem versus a sensor problem. Check to make sure you have good power and ground at the ecm. If you do, replace the ecm.

FOUND IT

Brought it to my garage and hooked up the computer. It read no communication with computer found. So the guy says its a fuse...Fuse? I said. I checked and sure enough it was a fuse. I replaced the fuse and no further problems. I never did find what tripped it in the first place but I have not had any prolly sense. So if you are having problems pulling codes off your computer check the fueses. Thanks
