Comp Cams Belt Drive "Wet System"?
I have an opportunity to pick up a belt drive timing system for pretty cheap. Can someone tell me what makes the "Dry System" more expensive than the "Wet System"? Is the "Wet" system safe to drive on the street? Thanks guys.

The "dry" version has more parts than the "wet"; think about it, there have to be 2 oil seals with all the machine work to go with them, etc....
If I had a choice I would go with the dry one. But I see no reason that there would be anything wrong with the wet one on the street, especially if you could get it for cheap.

These belt drive systems are race only stuff
and will not make your car faster or better.
they will never last as long as a stock
timing chain and gearset. A big waste of money. I'd pass on it.
