Smog Pump Tap
My smog pump is making a loud tap. I really don’t care if the pump works right but it annoys me a lot! What could I do about it?

Take it off and save 1-2 HP. That's only if you're not computer controlled which you probably are. You can probably pick one up at a junkyard for cheap. Unless you have emissions testing, it would be hard to justify spending to much money or effort on the smog pump.
