valve guides

On the carbed 305 can the the guides be replaced without removing the heads?( Sorry my mistake meant to say valve seals)

Iam pretty sure everything but the valves themselves can be taken out without removing the heads ofcourse it makes the job more difficult but definantly possible.

No, you have to pull the heads to replace guides. They have to be completely disassembled and cleaned first.

Valves and valve guides need the head removed. You can do valve seals and springs with the heads on.

The seals can be replaced on the engine by either using the rope trick, or using an air fitting that uses compressed air to hold the valve up.

Stuff a length of nylon rope into the spark plug hole to fill up the combustion chamber to hold the valves up.
