A guy in my neighborhood is selling the carrier(differential) and 3.23 ring and pinion out of his 95 Firebird. It has a V6 in it. So does it have the 28 spline axles and limited slip, like my rear?

Yes the 4th gen rear has 28 spline axles,no the axles will not work in a third gen rear,too wide.The 4th gen rears are wider than ours,so are the axles.The gears will work if you are looking into getting them.As far as a limited slip carrier,I doubt it being the car is a v6,usually only the v8 cars got them installed.

Why did you post this in the engine forum and not the trans/drivetrain?

 

no limited slip in 95 v6 car.

 

Take his gears, and get an SLP take off posi from SLP, and you're in business. Dont forget to change your speedo gears in your trans, too.
