Heating problems

When I hit a bump anything other than lightly, my heater will go out for a minute or two then usually kick back on. My car also takes a while to heat up. My friend's '96 Mustang heats up really quickly and puts out much more heat than my heater does. Why is that, and is there anything I can do to get mine to work like his? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Just to clarify, The fan stops working or the air turn cold when you hit bumps. Bad, or too cold of a thermostat, plugged heater core, bad fan, bad wiring are a few things that could cause problems with the heater.

Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, currant red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

Sorry, the heater stops blowing. I'm thinking about replacing the Coolant Temperature Sensor (already have one) because I'm having problems w/ the idle changing on me randomly, I'm getting about 150 to 200 mpg and the car has less power than it should. Not sure if it'd fix anything. I'm also going to look at the A/C and heater panel because I think it has a vacuum leak, and probably has a few wiring problems. I'm thinking about just replacing the whole thing. Any ideas?

So the blower motor stops? Is this at all speeds (lo,mid1,mid2,high)? Doesn't sound like any vacuum leaks. When you have no heat, is your upper radiator hose hot? Do you have a 50/50 mix of antifreeze/water, and not 100% antifreeze?

If it makes you feel better, my cooling system's in top shape, and my girlfriend's 4th gen Camaro heats up in a heartbeat... mine doesn't.

The blower motor stops at all speeds, doesn't matter what it's on. I hear a hissing sound in 99% of the spots where I move the lever to activate the heater and ****, it's just ONE really small place that it won't hiss. At times, it still does though. I'm not sure if my upper radiator hose is hot, I usually don't have time to check. I believe that I have a 50/50 mix, looks like it anyway. Is there anywhere I can go to see a breakdown of a third gen's heating system so that I can look at the heating system on my car and see if anything's broken?
