Switched from a cfi 305 to a 600 cfm 350 HO, got the motor going with the old starter and alt. Got the TV cable adjusted after about two weeks, finally figured out the fuel pump and line issues! Drove the car to work and back for about a week, battery would not hold a charge so I bought a new one...it started to die after a few days so replaced the the alt, problem gone. Went out after work thursday to go home, started car and it sounded as if a belt was spinning then it stopped after about ten seconds, thought I lost a belt opened the hood and all was good. I got home and turned the car off, it refused to turn off. All I could hear is the starter turning with the key off!! Do you think I need to replace the starter or maybe the wiring from the key. I just replaced the ignition lock cylinder today with a new one and that did not fix it. Can only think of the wiring or the starter itself. Please help!

 

Possibly a stuck solienoid on the starter...
