I have a set of aluminum pulleys I got dirt cheap. I heard they tend to wear out quicker since they are aluminum. Would having them ceramic coated make them last longer?

Probably.
Hard anodize would probably works as well or better, and would probably be cheaper.

The voltage im not sure about, but i could maintain any temperature easily with dry ice. I have access to all ingredients as well as a lab enviroment.
