Are these springs any good?

http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/2060...ve-Springs.htm

Z28 drop in ones? They are almost identical to 986's but without the machining costs of going to a duel spring.

Cam lift is 468/477

I would stick to the major names (Comp, Crane, Crower, Isky, etc). I would also run what the cam manufacturer suggests.

Thats the problem. Its an LPE216 cam. I went online and I cant find any recomendations. I emailed the company and no responce. On the cam card it shows an LPE number for the springs, but it says they have been discontinued. I called the company only to get a voice mail and no responce. Cam is 213/219 468/477 112 with 1.52 rockers.

Isky makes a 235-D spring, which is similar to the 986 spring from Comp, but is a 1.26 OD. I have used these and didn't have any issues with them.

They are basically stock springs.

They are not "identical" to 986 springs. They're garbage. 986s are 1.45" OD. Those stock ones are 1.25" diameter, stock, useless POSs, little better than what comes on sedans from the factory, and not as good as 1.25" OD springs from a cam company.... which already aren't enough spring for the cam you're wanting to use. A further downgrade from the superior springs isn't an improvement.

Get the 986s. Don't think that the "Z28" label makes those GM stockers any better.
