my 88 tpi 5.7 stalls about once every 2 days when i put it into gear. Should i worry about that? And any suggestions of what to do?

Could be many things. Does your check engine light come on ever? If not I would suspect that the bulb needs replacing, then you may be able to retrieve some error codes to remedy the problem. I would say its most likely a sensor problem. How does the car idle in park(and at what rpms?) after you start it?

Are you able to retrieve any error codes? Find out here: https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/faq/thirdgen.shtml

at the very bottom of the page.

Does this every happen after the car has been sufficiently warmed up? Any other problems like a rough idle?
