hey guys hows it goin my 85 iroc i just bought is in dire need of help, it wont start i had to jump it cause the battery was dead, the gas has been sitting for a while and *** knows whats wrong with it, but i need to be simple at first and just wanna see if it runs, it turn over fine when i turn the key but just wont start then it starts fading ligh noise then a pause then a second later noise then pause then noise well u get the picture i cant figure out what it is but i need to change the fluids and what not anyways first, but if the gas has been sitting for a while how can i like make it actually be useful?

 

Sounds like the battery just needs charged, or replaced.

Put some fresh gas in afterwards and try to fire 'er up

 

Yeah I agree completely with the gas issue, theres probably a lot of water in ur gas cuz the person who sold it to you probably had it sitting for a while and didnt fill it up before letting it sit so water built up in the tank. As for the car starting, thats probably the battery because you said it was fine when you jumped it. Batteries are no real big deal.
