how to drop a motor in?

if i build the complete motor outside the car, whats the best way to drop it in? i have the stealth ram intake on it, and the only way i know how to drop motors is the ones with carbs, with the carb plate adapter.

I always use the accessory bolt holes located on the front and back of the heads...

The word "drop" may not be the best term to use when removing or installing an engine. I've nearly done it, and it tends to raise the heart rate to an unacceptable level.

The factory used to install lifting provisions on the heads/water pump areas, so that's good enough for me.

I use either the accessory holes in the front and back of the heads, or the exhaust manifold holes, or the intake manifold holes. IIRC, the carb'd cars actually have a 'loop' on two of the front intake bolts near the thermostat housing for an engine hoist. At least, mine does, and looks like a factory peice.
