camshaft question

i was looking into getting a lunati bracket master camshaft. its got a .480 lift. i was also going to get 1.6 roller rocker arms. my question is with that rocker arm, camshaft combo will the valves hit the pistons on an otherwise stock 305?

I don't know what type of 305, but if that .480 lift is before the 1.6 rockers then I don't think it's a good idea on a stock 305 since the heads probably won't flow it. Dunno if you'll hit the pistons or not.

Without doing anything else, I wouldn't get that cam. Your heads probably won't flow any more than .450 lift could allow. Also.. I don't think your stock heads even support that much lift..with 1.6 rockers thats over .510. If this is using TPI I would look at a superstock L98 cam from LPE or a GM high perf. replacement cam.
