stupid FPR question

to see if car is dumping to much fuel back into the gas tank via FPR every1 says to pinch or clamp the fuel return line. all i see is to thick metal lines, is there a rubber line somewhere that im not seeing? if so where is it?

0 i have no fuel pressure, can hear pump run but get no fuel pressure, thats why i wanted to no about blocking the fuel return line, pulled line out of fuel filter and fuel came out with pump on, i think its dumping all my fuel back in to the gas tank via FPR.

that's a really really bad idea, your FPR is broken, repair it.

Not really, it is a diagnostic method used by the dealership technicians. Check you lines, up by the motor, there should be short sections of flexible line. The smaller (diameter) of the two is the return line. Pinch it off, if you now have fuel pressure, you need to replace the regulator, if not.... Well, time to replace the fuel pump.

That would be a decent idea, I thought he was going to pinch the metal line, that would've been plain crazy.
