Leaking antifreeze from intake???

Leaking antifreeze from intake???

On my 86 IROC behind the pasenger side valve cover there are pols of leaking coolant intot he valleys of the intake,where could this be coming from intake manifold gasket???craked intake??????

Yeah, its probably coming from the head gasket on the passengers side.

Check the oil and see if it has a milky texture to it. It could also be the heater valve, which will crack and leak...

Get the problem fixed though, its never good.
Thats how I lost my 305.

Most likely its leaking from the intake gasket or water outlet.

Ive never seen an intake crack.

The intakes are known to pit from corrosion around the water passages, and need to be replaced.

yeah, I've never seen the intake crack either, but the heater valve will, which will cause a slow leak. It is almost definatly the intake gasket though.

I've seen a cracked intake, actually did it myself.

Turns out the intake was made of PLASTIC.

And it was on a FORD.....go figure.
