10 gallon gas tank?
OK I just got my car a week ago, and I filled her up just today. I only put 8 gallons in and the fuel guage read almost full! Is my fuel tank only 10 gallons??

Odds are its probably just a bum sender in the tank indicating empty when there is more gas remaining.

Or it's just a sticking a bit. Perhaps try tapping on the bottom of the tank with a rubber mallet to see if it gets freed up.

Full tank =16ish gallons
Full on gas gauge= 11ish gallons
If you top off your tank your fuel gauge will probably be well past F. It has been in every 3rd gen of mine. Why don't you top off your tank and find out?

My gauge reads from the Empty tickmark (when the needle aligns with E, I'm OUT - engine dies) up to ~1/8 tank above Full. The 1/2 mark is really ~1/3 tank and the 3/4 mark is really only about 1/2 on my car, at least.
If I run my tank dry enough to kill the engine (only happened twice...), I can only fit in about 14.8 gallons. I think the shape of the tank is a little strange with the internal baffles. Maybe they trap air?
