Stock 350 crank & pistons
Hey everybody, just curious as to what the stock crank and pistons to my '92 Z28 can handle. This upcoming spring, I am looking at a Mini-ram set-up to be installed along with a ZZ409 cam, 58mm TB on my already existing trickflow heads. Is this too much mods for my stock block and crank? Could I get away with it or would I have to go with something heavier on the bottom end, say like a stroker kit? Thanks.

Why do people always ask questions like this?
Nobody knows what the old stock pieces will hold, theirs just too many variables to give a ballpark range.
They could break at 200hp or 800hp, the most i would want to put through a brand new OEM bottom end would be 400HP.

Why do people ask questions like this? Not everybody has the knowledge/experience that you may have. Thats why people come on here to share the knowledge and experiences of others. If you aren't interested in answering the question, your not obligated to answer it. Im sure there are other people out there willing to help a fellow 3rd gen member that is less fortunate in experience on motors. Thanks for the information you have posted though. Have a nice day.

If you check out the Power Adder forum, you'll see many people have been putting 150 shots or more to stock bottom ends without any problems. What you're proposing isn't any worse than that, for sure.
The crank isn't the weak link, I wouldn't think. The rod bolts shouldn't be asked to go over 6000 RPMs with any regularity.
