New car, first problem...
I just got a 85 Trans Am. But it makes an unusal noise, almost like a rattling that is high pitched, but changes volume every so often. I noticed it before when i turn the wheel, or when the Heater/AC be turned on.
Anyone might know what it is?
My grandfather thinks it is a Vacuum leak dealing with the controls of the heater/ac, someone told me that it maybe the harmonic balancer woopling. But these don't make much since. I would have thought the motor would react to eithier one of these and it will not drop or rasie rpm or experience any problems.
The car is an LG4, when i bought it though the person had removed the old electric carb and placed in a edelbrock and HEI system. The noise system to be coming from the Dash or console.
Any guess as to what this is? It really is annoying.

almost like it is coming from the dash of the car. My AC compressor will sometimes make the noise but didn't notice it doing it yesterday.
My uncle thought it might be a lose connection with the seat belt buzzer, seeing how when you hit the bottom of the dash it turn on and then the noise stop. I have noticed it once before while the seat buzzer was going, so i back to square one.
