Chevy 3.1L vacuum lines
it's not very thirdgen related, but my post contains general tech/engine questions about a motor found in thirdgens. So I can get away with that, right?
I have a 3.1L Beretta as my beater for the winter. I just replaced the fuel injectors (because they leaked and caught fire) and re-routed some vac lines. The MAP sensor's vac line was so horribly cracked that the car ran terrible. Long story short, rather than replacing all of the melted/broken plastic vac lines, I am running the MAP off of the PCV's hose, and the PCV is not hooked up at the moment.
Due to the car not drawing in that extra air through the PCV now, it tends to idle a little bit lower and it's probably running more rich than it should- correct? Am I going to throw off the MAP at all if I put a "splitter" t-fitting in line with the PCV? Do I need any check valves?
And the vac-adjusting fuel pressure regulator runs off of ported vacuum, correct? It looks like it connects to the front of the throttle body.
And finally- the cruise control in the car has never worked since i've owned it. For one the vac line was broken off, and also I'm not positive that it's even electrically connected. What kind of vacuum does that run off of? I'm thinking ported, but I'm not sure.
THANKS GUYS

Do vacuum hoses cost that much? lmao.
I went to my local Schmucks and they just gave me a foot of it free lol.
Best advice - do it right

It just seems easier to put fresh lines on it, take off the plenum once, and be done with it
I've been ok, the car sucks though, I snapped the bolt head off that connects my hangers to the carb, so I got a new top piece at the junkyard, and the car wont idle, that combined with a lot of blowby, and a bunch of half finished projects have forced my hand to start selling my 3rd gen parts and eventually the car... getting a '99 VW Jetta -shudders- atleast it'll get me to work and back I guess.
