check it out, bad day today......
I just got home from the tow yard today, my brothers 1988 Camaro RS was hit head on by a Toyota T100. The Camaro then flipped and landed on the roof. He's at Shands Jacksonville in Jax, FL with 2 broken legs, (has to have rods in them now) teeth missing, shiners in both eyes, and just over all i dont recognize him. T100 driver, scratch on the head and a sore neck.

hey guys
thanks for all your support! ya i believe he can pick my lottery numbers after getting outta this one. Heres what happened:
If anybody lives in Jacksonville, more than likely they've heard of Bishop Estates. Its a curvy road that goes from Duval to St. Johns. A 17 year old was driving his T-100 around a corner and hit the corner too fast crossing the centerline in the process, and hit my brother, who from the police report was speeding as well. The car then rolled over and came to rest against a tree.
The good: My brother is going to recover fine in a month. He gets a new car because the old one wasnt cutting it
The bad: He had a unpaid ticket-suspended license at time of accident.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, FL -- Florida Highway Patrol says a man driving on a suspended license collided with another vehicle and flipped his car several times, sending three people to the hospital. The accident happened around 12:30am this morning on Bishops Estates Road in St. Johns County.
The driver was air-lifted to the hospital in critical condition. Two other passengers, both of them men, were taken by ambulance. Troopers tell us all of them appeared to be between 18 and 20 years old.
FHP says two people crawled out of the car, and another had to be cut out of the car. The teenager in the other vehicle was not injured. He was taken to Baptist Medical, treated, and released.
Police tell us charges may be pending against the drivers of both vehicles. They say the Camaro was operating with a suspended license, and was driving at least double the posted 30 mile per hour speed limit.

Ugg. Kids.
I'm glad he's ok. I hope he learned his lesson. I've spent many nights helping scrape guys off the road because of things like this.
Like I said, I hope everyone recovers and wish them the best. I'm sure everyone has learned a great deal from this.

People there is a lesson to be learned here. First of all, metal and plastic can be easily replaced, a human life cannot! We all love our cars because they are fast (well a majority of them are) but you never know what lies around the next corner. I am so happy you brother will make it but SPEEDING CAN KILL! There is a time and place for everything and this wasn't the time or place to speed today. I just picked up my first 350 Iroc and I will tell you I just want to let it go and rip it up but I know I can't becuase I may mess up and hit someone or vice-a verse-a. I wish your brother a speedy recovery and I hope this is a lesson learned, that car looks like a death trap!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate each and everyone of your support. Speed does kill but thank the good lord that this wasn't one of those times. I love my brother and he just turned 20, and im 19 so we're real close and I just am in shock. I can tell you what, he was wearing his seatbelt. I wear mine now after my wreck and his accident has slowed me down.

People who think they are autocross racers on the street are more dangerous than the drag racers on the street. Somebody was flat hauling *** for the amount of damage done to that car considering they collided in a 30 mph corner. Glad he will be OK, tough lesson learned.

Glad to hear there all ok. I lost my 1st Camaro when a Blazer rear ended me. The lady hit me so hard the fiberglass hood broke off then went flying over the on ramp bridge and landed 60 ft below. Last year I got rear ened again at a dead stop this time by a T-100 going 40. My truck held up alot better then the camaro did, cant say the T-100 did as well.
