Any 10 or 11 sec. 3rd gen owners, please lemme know the specifics of your setup, 1/4 times, actual HP(no guesses plz), and how streetable it is. I am going with fuel injection (HSR) so any EFI tips would help. Thanx, Chris.

since you haven't gotten any responses yet, I thought i'd steer you a bit....
I know IHI, and Stephen87iroc are both in that range. Stephen's isn't a street car though. Also a lot of people in the forced induction forum would be as well. Read peoples sigs.

Apples and oranges. Stephen's car isn't even remotely street legal. For his application, I don't know why he didnt go with a vega or something like that but, he's having fun anyway.

There is a lot of fast cars in the power adder forum.

I have a 355 short block with 10:1 forged flat tops sitting on the engine stand. I have a .554/ .544 hyd roller cam, HSR w/ 58 mm TB, 38# injectors, and a 10# bottle sitting at the shop. I have 4.10s and need to get a converter for my 700r4. I was thinking (too many things) maybe building a 400, maybe a 383, and/or buying a supercharger. I know i gotta get a tune for whatever I go with.
I know this sounds childish , but my cousin has a 00 GT w/ an ATI putting 400 HP to the ground. He's selling the ATI and going with a Roots setup. I want to be able to beat him and still be streetable.

have full interior ,4 speaker stereo weighs 3600 lb. with me in it.

it runs 11.3 to 11.4 @120 on motor and 10.32 @ 132.8 on a 150 shot.

runs on pump gas here (4500 eleavation) but i put race gas in it to spray it . and it gets a whole 10 mpg at 65 mph .

11.19@120 with the following.

406
afr 195's
mighty demon 650
10.4 compression
hooker 2210's
victor jr.
mufflex 4" kit
3.73 gears
26x11.5 et streets
3400 stall
TPIS ZZ-X cam (for sale) .559 lift 241@.050

The 60' times were low 1.5's with built 7.5" rear end. This is very streetable. I have driven over an hour to the track to race and then drove home. AT the 1/8th mile track it went 6.70's with a 150 shot of juice and a 1.47 60'. That's roughly 10.50's. The cam is from TPIS and is designed for fuel injection so if you go that route you'll be fine.

In sig, streetable beyond belief and expectations. It's made several hour interstate runs over the course of it's life with no problems, same with car cruise parades-no problems. If you build a car to last on the street, the race track is childs play

Which protopline heads? Out of the box or ported?

They are the al. 200cc runner 64cc chambers angle plug. No porting, just a simple gasket match. And I only waited a week for them to show up instead of 4-6 months for AFR's. Not to mention they're cheaper.

It seems some people got the usable pro-toplines, others (b4ctom1) got the ones with the un-matchable ports.

Ya, I read that post. Kinda freaked me out until I found out that the ones he got were apparantly an older casting. These looked very good out of the box.

I was just gonna throw a thread up about my Pro Topline 200's. I have the straight plug 64cc head and pulled the valves out to pocket port them, but there's no point to it. they're remakable as cast. Short side radius is smoot, and the valve throat has to be already 85-90% of valve diameter. It's a nice straight shiot to the valve. I think I'll just put them back together.

Good to see someone with good results from them Free Bird.

Oh, and it took me 8 months almost to get mine from New Zealand.

Traxion had an 11 second "streetable" 350. He was usually pretty secretive about what was in that engine. All I can remember is it was a 350 with milled AFR heads, stock rotating assembly, mini ram, hooker long tubes and some huge cam. He sold it to another member on here. Maybe someone could twist his arm???

What CC combustion chamber size is used to figure piston CR ? Like I have 10:1 flat tops. That is based on using what CC head?
What CR is too much for N20 ? If I used a 150-200 shot, would I be safe with 10:1 or would I need a lower CR?

Most likely aluminum heads, haven't picked them out yet. Probably something close to an AFR 1040. Cam is .554/.554 (w/ 1.6), 224/224 @ .050, 110 LSA hyd roller.

I'd be interested in your race weight, tire choice at the track, exhaust, and dyno times.

I've got a 355, Protopline 200cc/64cc Iron heads, 10:1CR (8.2DCR),
see sig for cam, etc. With a HSR and pulled ~300RWHP/300TQ and my best ET on street tires is 13.0@107.

10:1 comp will work good. You can go up to 10.5:1 also. I have set aluminum heads up to 11.25:1 and ran pump gas it takes the right cam and some deburing.
