HELP! my car won't start!

I have an '88 pontiac 6000 LE. It was running fine on Wednesday, got up Thursday morning and it won't start. Sounds as though it's out of gas, but it's almost full. What could be wrong? I need to try and get this fixed myself. Please let me know if you can tell me what might be wrong. Thanks!

This thread won't last long, as this is thirdgen.org, pertaining to the third generation F-bodies, solely.

But, if I had to take a guess, could be fuel, could be ignition. Could be several things. Need a little more info like do you hear the fuel pump prime?

Well, you kinda NEED spark and fuel in order to start it. Try buying a can of starting fluid, or even carb cleaner will work.

Take of the inlet hose and squirt a little fluid in there while someone tries to start it. If all the sudden it tries to start - fuel pump. If no change, check for spark.
