anybody rebiuld a TPI throt/body?

My throttle blade are gettin a wee bit wobbly. I would like to correct this before i start making custom proms, however I cannot find any information (or parts) on this subject. I just need a pont in the right direction. btw it is an 86 t/b also i remember there being diferences about MAF and S/D t/bs, any one know what these are? I am running this one as S/D.

I know that when it is professionialy done they remove the shaft and drill holes out so that bushings can be installed. I've never had one of the TPI throttle bodys apart but I know that alot of carburators had replaceable bushings once you removed the throttle shaft.

I found these instructions when i did a search. These are for boring your stock throttle body larger but same should apply to you.

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...tle+body+lever

You know I wonder if you can buy the replacemnt parts for the throttle bodies because I havent seen anywhere that sells them.

Thats what this guys has done on ebay. If you read the auction the shaft bushings are replaced with sealed bearings which is the standard repair. Click on his ad and click the "ask a question" link and ask exactly what he does. I don't think you have to get it bored, he should just be able to fix the throttle shaft play, I would think.

Throttle bodies are certainly cheap enough, I see them sell for $20-$40 all day. Maybe just get a used one that you can check for wobble first?
