every time!!

i just bought a 78' camaro project and this car (along with all the other f-body i've owned) has it's heater bypassed.... i was wondering why this is so common in alot of the f-bodys i buy?? is it maybe cause the heater core leak's?? or could it be something eles.... i know it could be a number of things but i was wondering if anyone knows what the main cause of bypassing the heater is and what i should check first when fixing it,

Thanks!!

Three reasons. Someone is a cheapskate and didnt plan on driving in cold weather. Second they are lazy. Third, they are like me, and removed the entire heating and air systems, to smooth the firewall and use the space for something else.

It probably leaked and instead of doing the teadeous task of replacing it they bypassed it.

Second Gens are really difficult to change heater core in air cond cars. You have to evac the ac to remove the case on the firewall to remove the case under the dash to open it up then you can change the heater core.
