wtf hatch motor won't pull down (not what you think it is, please look)

all i did was remove my cruise control servo, which involved two vacuum hoses, one which i made sure i replaced with an L fitting instead of a T fitting, the other going to the inside of the car along with 5 wires. I removed the connectors from each end, and the vacuum line, ripped that out of the car okay.

i proceed to clean my car so i open the hatch so i can wipe down the plastic back there, i use the button to open it, the motor lifts up fine, i open hatch, clean, put window back down and it won't pull down.

this has happened to all of us before okay, I know you're supposed to push on the little switch to make it work again, I've done it plenty of times before. But now it won't do that, it won't move at all, i use the button on the inside of the car and it clicks like its supposed to, and i use the key on the back and it clicks, but pushing down on the little switch on the assembly does nothing at all, i took the plastic panel off and double checked all connections. The only thing was one loose white wire and i saw absolutely nowhere for it to go at all, but everything else is connected.

wtf is the deal i need to close this thing immediately, is tehre a way to manually override it and get the hatch to lock to the down position?
