emmissions and alum l-98s on a z28 motor?

well i have stock cast iron heads now but im thinkin about fidin some l-98s alum and doin port work myself...but i know were is somthin diff with the emmissions and i need to do somthin to pass. im not runnin an airpump now...not goin to...but can you guys help me on were i can find info or what i need to do to help pass with these heads? i know there is a ton of people that have done this....picks would be a huge help also!! thanks moncarr737@aol.com for pics

ok how did the vettes have it hooded up? i think there was a tube from the exhaust manifold to the intake base but im not sure hwo it hooked up and what parts i need to find to make this work!! i need pics bad for this one.....i know there are peps out there that have done this a lot....i need them to help me out!!

I just ran mine through the etest with no air pump and a non functioning egr (no vss signal). back the timing to 0* andget it good and warm. Mine needs valve seals BADLY and it still easily passed.

so even tho i have the parts in the sig in the motor if i back to timmin to 0 and get it hot it might pass the way it is....no air pump, no egr on the prom or motor. egr blockoff plate is on! i am goin to rework my hole exhaust soon and put 2 cats on...im only runnin one now! so that should help a lil i hope!! any more info i can do to get it to pess? ive herd of stuff called dry gas or somthin like that....i guess its supost to help a bit!?

ive been told to get it nice and hot then run it througth the test and ive been told to put a 160 stat and make sure my fans are runnin and then take the test....im not sure what to do and how to pass with 113s on my motor!!

Do not run the cooler stat. The motor is designed to run at 190* and the fans still will not come on until 210+*. Running the cooler stat will not help get hotter cylinder temps! The 113 heads are a stock emissions head for the corvette. Since the egr is deleted in the prom it doesn't matter what head your running. Back the timing and fuel pressure (if poss.) down, get it hot, clean oil and air filter and run it through.
