cams, cams cams.

another cam question just got a 92 350 block for build and it came with comp xr264hr-12 cam. this cam is for 305/350 tpi "computer controlled" motor. i planned my build on performer rpm manifold and carb. the lift and duration are close to what i was originaly planning for my set up but lobe separation on this cam is 112 not 110 can someone put this in layman terms for me or hook me up with some info on lobe separation and its effect ?

Spreading the LSA reduces the overlap of the cams valve timing. This improves the idle quality ( EFI friendly) and tempers and broadens the torque curve typically. Usually stronger top end power. A smoother less violent power curve overall. the effect is sutle.
The actual difference between 110LSA and 112 is very small. Do not loose sleep over this. That cam will work just fine for ya. Maybe even better than a 110 overall.

changine from a 104LSA to 112 is a big change. 110 to 112 is a small near inperceivable change.
