AFPR for Edelbrock MPFI for TBI engines
AFPR for Edelbrock MPFI for TBI engines
First post here.
I have the EDL-3501 on my 94 Chevy C1500, 5.7L with Trickflow heads, Comp cam, and other performance mods. I had to replace the in-tank fuel pump with a higher psi unit currently running at 42 psi. I did a little research and learned that an aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator from 94-97 5.7 L Camaro LT1 and 94-95 Impala SS LT1 is a direct fit for the passenger side fuel rail (in place of the Edelbrock FPR).
My question is how do I connect the return fuel line since the AFPR is designed to connect to the LT1 fuel line (see example pic from Holley)? I am using the AN fittings that come with the Edelbrock kit that attached directly to the FPR (circle in second pic).
Is there a connector available from connect this to an AN fitting? Keep in mind that I don't have access to the return fuel line from an LT1, but that's a possible solution. Just wondering if anyone has experience with fuel line connectors and can give me some advice.

Time to jump into the world of Prom Tuning.
The GM fuel rail fittings are metric and not AN. You should be able to get conversion fittings from summit racing, jegs, or maybe Street&Performance. Tell them what you have, what you are doing and they should be able to help you with the right part numbers.
On the otherhand messing around with the fuel pressure is not going to accomplish you much with your mod list.
