no more pcv valve...is this bad?
this may be a stupid question but im askin anyways....would it be a bad idea if i took off the pcv valve and just put in a breather in its place?

yes leave the pcv system in place, your car is no faster by removing it and it helps oil vapors as well.

If you're going for the look of breathers (which do look better IMO), you can get a breather that has a nipple to attach the PCV hose to. I don't believe it has a check valve in it like a PCV valve.
If you were to use a normal breather you are going to get some oil vapor venting into the atmosphere when there's no, or next to no vacuum, like WOT runs.
My '71 Camaro suffers from this. Although it does keep my valve covers from rusting.
