Oil Sensor does not fit

OK I just put on an Edelbrock performer eps intake, when I went to install the new oil pressure sensor it would not fit. The edge of the sensor body was right up against the intake; not allowing it to thread in to the port on the engine. Is there another sensor I can use? It is just making me nervous driving around with out knowing what the oil pressure is at.

Go to the hardware store and by a threaded extension/tee fitting.
