T-56 starter queston
OK...I know this has been addressed before...but the search feature is inop., I know the factory starter won't work W/a T-56, and your supposted to use a LT1 starter, but will a mini-starter work?, factory starters can barly turn my engine over, and I'm tiard of burning them out and having "heat soak" issues whith them. I was looking at powermaster P/N 9600, would that be a good choice, or is there other options? by the way, it is a small block 355, whith 10.75:1 compression ,also it needs to clear hooker long tube headers. thanks in advance

Im running the stock starter with my T56. Just get one for a 305. The stasrters for the 350 have a bigger bell on them I believe. I have no issues at all with the starter interferring with anything.

will an aftermarket mini starter work, the factory starter can't turn over my engine properly, and I don't think it will fit whith the hooker longtube headders I have, and plan to put on

FYI the LT1 starter is a ministarter.. I see no reason why an aftermarket ministarter wouldn't work..
