Good change would equal 5 quarts Mobil 1 10w-30 and a Wix, Mobil1, or Bosch Filter. For cheaper, use filters lised but use maybe Mobil or Valvoline regular Oil

For oil, the "best" and most expensive is real deal Grp 4 synthetics like Mobil1. Pennzoil Platinum synthetic is also good, ditto for Royal Purple and Amsoil. If you want to use conventional dino oils, Havoline is one of the best.
Best add-in oil treatemnt is Valvoline Synpower Oil Treatment (VSOT), it's loaded with very good adds.

Depends on your driving. I personally don't like the orange can of death either, and the super techs are acceptable. Delco does not seem to be made by the same company anymore and IIRC Deutch may have been ok as well.
As far as oil, synthetic is better than conventional, however, you are the only one who can decide if it's what you want. AP cert oils are, well, AP certified.
My preference is still Mobil 1, but I've been using Delvac 1 and Rotella T. I think I'm starting to lean towards those.

I keep hearing the Fram filters are junk. I know a bunch of racers who have high volume/high pressure oil systems that use them, none of them have ever had one blow on them. As close to "the truth" I've ever heard is they had some QC problems for awhile a few years ago, but have since solved them.
Don't think I'm an uncover spokesman for Fram. Personally, I never use anything but AMSOIL filters.

Ah, the orange can of death just sounds good. That and their quality still sucks imo.
Shal we prod you for some info on Amsoil?
That is one I should have listed. Actually, that brings on a question for a PM...
