head bolt length

ok, im in the middle of building up my motor, and ive just recieved my arp head bolt kit. i had a problem- i had 32 bolts, but only 8 were the shorter length. i called them and got the right ones. now ive found i have all the same length long bolts. arent the two bolts on the ends of the heads by the oil drain back supposed to be shorter? im thinking of just sending in all the bolts i have now and re ordering. long story short how many different length bolts should i have

I think you should have 3 different lengths.

shortest down low, by your exhaust ports
medium in the lower parts of the heads
longest in the taller part of the heads. not sure about the end ones, I didn't pay much attention when taking off my heads...oops
